Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Application / Operational Support Specialist with strong technical business analysis experience to support projects under the Trade Applications Platform .
The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing production support, reviewing technical solutions, and ensuring smooth deployment across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Application / Project Support
- Provide application and operational support for all projects under Trade applications platforms.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and vendors to gather, analyze, design, test, and implement solutions, including Trade Finance initiatives .
- Validate and prioritize business requirements, ensuring process improvement and standardization.
- Review work deliverables from users, vendors, and technical teams to ensure quality.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
- Effectively communicate the value of technology solutions to stakeholders and business teams.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, digital initiatives, and best practices.
- Perform Java code review and in-house interface development (not heavy development).
Problem Solving & Management
- Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues with minimal business impact.
- Manage incidents and liaise with IT suppliers for timely resolution.
- Conduct vendor negotiations to ensure best value for IT solutions.
- Develop trusted partnerships with stakeholders and IT providers.
Code Packaging & CI/CD
- Design and implement efficient code packaging strategies and robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automation tools for versioning, artifact management, and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams for seamless integration and improvement.
- Streamline the software development lifecycle to enhance quality and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive ongoing improvements in processes, technical solutions, and operational support.
- Ensure the effectiveness of implemented solutions and recommend enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in application support, development, or IT operations within corporate banking, preferably in Trade Finance, Loan Processing, or Payments .
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
Frontend: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Backend: Java, Spring Boot, OpenJDK, Elixir, MariaDB, Oracle, MS SQL, Python, KAFKA, Unix Commands, Shell Scripting
Middleware: JBOSS, MQ, Maxscale, Connect Direct, SSH
DevOps: Linux, Windows, Apache HTTP Server, TWS Job Scheduling, CI/CD Deployment Process
- Proven experience with SDLC, testing methodologies, and project management .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in dynamic environments.
- Strong leadership qualities, integrity, and persistence in overcoming challenges.
