Job Scope
The Technical Engineering Manager at Mesh Bio will lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable healthtech solutions.
The Manager will work closely with product managers, designers, quality assurance, and commercial teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers to ensure timely and successful delivery of product features and updates.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, commercial, and customer success teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
Translate product and user requirements into clear technical specifications, sprint plans, and development tasks.
Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and deployment of software projects using agile methodologies.
Promote best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and version control.
Identify and resolve technical risks or challenges that could impact delivery timelines or product performance.
Facilitate technical discussions, architectural planning, and decisions to support scalable and secure product development.
Support ongoing performance reviews, skills development, and career progression of the engineering team.
Ensure the implementation of data privacy, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Stay up to date with new technologies and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Perform Ad Hoc work-related tasks as assigned by immediate superior.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
5–10 years of experience in software engineering with at least 2–3 years in a team leadership or management role.
Strong technical background in full-stack software development and familiarity with modern development frameworks.
Proven experience leading engineering teams in agile environments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in healthtech or regulated industries is a plus.
Self-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
