Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to safeguard the company's IT infrastructure and data assets
Monitor, analyse and respond to security threats and incidents, ensuring timely and effective remediation
Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business
Provide expert guidance and training to employees on security best practices and incident response protocols
Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, regulations and industry standards, and recommend improvements to enhance the company's security posture
Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their professional development and maintaining a high-performing, collaborative culture
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior cybersecurity or information security role, preferably in the information and communication technology industry
Strong technical expertise in designing, implementing and managing enterprise-level security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, industry regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA) and best practices in cybersecurity
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate security risks
Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of security professionals
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels
Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable
