About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to lead our Marine Boiler Repair and LNG / FPSO Ship Repair Division.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in boiler construction, erection, commissioning, and repair, with a deep understanding of marine boiler systems and industrial boilers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all technical aspects of marine boiler repair, LNG vessel, and FPSO repair projects.
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
Manage engineering teams, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring safety and operational excellence at all times.
Review and approve technical documents, fabrication drawings, repair procedures, and method statements.
Coordinate with ship owners, class surveyors, and clients during inspection, testing, and certification stages.
Plan and control resources, materials, and manpower allocation effectively to achieve project targets.
Troubleshoot and provide expert solutions for complex boiler repair and modification works.
Ensure compliance with marine standards, IACS class requirements, and international safety regulations.
Contribute to technical training, process improvement, and innovation within the department.
Prepare and review project progress reports, cost tracking, and performance metrics for management review.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
Minimum 25 years of experience in boiler construction, erection, and repair.
At least 10 years of solid experience in marine boiler systems (shipboard or shipyard environment).
Proven leadership in managing LNG, FPSO, and ship repair projects.
Strong knowledge of boiler design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across all boiler types.
Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients and internal teams.
Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and resource management tools.
