Technical Product Manager (1-year fixed term contract)

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for leading the development of the strategy, roadmap, and execution of IT solutions that support business objectives.
The role acts as a bridge between business and technology, translating business requirements into technical solutions, managing product backlogs, and collaborating with engineering and vendor teams to deliver high-quality systems.
The role also involves stakeholder management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement to ensure IT solutions remain efficient, scalable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap Development: define and drive product visions and 12- to 18-month roadmaps based on business goals, IT capabilities, and stakeholder requirements; prioritize enhancements, support initiatives, and backlog items to align with vendor roadmaps, operational needs and strategic objectives, considering risks and dependencies.
Leadership: demonstrate leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and challenging deadlines; foster teamwork and escalate/resolve issues; act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate complex concepts effectively.
Stakeholder Management: liaise between GTS, business users, engineering teams, external vendors, and managed services partners; oversee intake, review, and refinement of business requirements ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment with platform capabilities and compliance standards.
Technical Oversight & Solutioning: collaborate with Solution Architects and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions; ensure alignment with enterprise IT architecture, security, and compliance standards.
Agile Product Development: develop Program Increment (PI) and Sprint plans; allocate resources, define milestones, and ensure timely delivery within budget and quality expectations; lead delivery activities with stakeholders and vendors.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement: define and monitor KPIs, analyze incidents and system health, drive proactive improvements; oversee incident response and problem investigation to inform backlog or process enhancements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Ability to negotiate competing project and company requirements
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycle
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, etc.)
Strong ability to influence across a broad group of stakeholders and adopt a consultative approach
Experience managing external vendors and working with procurement to ensure integrated delivery and vendor performance
Ability to build and lead integrated teams across multiple sites
Ability to achieve objectives with limited supervision
Independent decision-making and readiness to assume higher-level leadership in critical situations
Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and financial skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with all organization levels
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field
Master’s degree desirable or more than 5 years of related experience in leading cross-functional programs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in IT, Product Development, Manufacturing or Supplier Management
Medical or Pharma industry background
Vendor management experience overseeing platform delivery, support, and continuous improvement in regulated environments
