Job description

Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.


Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.


2 years of experience in program management.


Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering within a data center environment.


Experience in construction management.


Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience in Colocation Infrastructure technical program management.


Experience in working on evaluating data center infrastructure and designing cages and associated infrastructure.


Ability to have a data-driven investigative approach to solve complex issues.


Excellent written and verbal communication, and financial skills.


Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills, and effective attention to detail.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

You’re equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities
Become a subject matter expert (SME) of space and power management for colocation environments.

Review and thoroughly understand Google's network and architecture standards.


Communicate with partners along with internal business owners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering colocation space and associated infrastructure.

Draft statement of work (SOW) design/engineering drawing sets.


Design spaces that meet today's needs, and maintain flexibility for the future.

Evaluate colocation facilities to ensure they meet internal reliability requirements.


Create high-level project plans that identify resource needs and critical paths.

Review proposals, costs, and submittals related to the build of the colocation spaces.


Maintain Technical Relationships with Colocation vendors and contractors.
