Become a member of the Technical Revenue team at Palo Alto Networks! We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Revenue Manager who is excited to join a high growth Company.
The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills.
This person will partner closely with our cross-functional teams to structure and negotiate contractual terms, perform revenue close accounting activities, as well as work with key stakeholders, lead projects, develop new processes and improve on the month-end close process.
The position requires a hands-on person who is flexible, solutions-oriented and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact
Partner with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Sales Operations on non-standard contract review to determine revenue impact and provide recommendations to maximize revenue
Support monthly closing activities including, but not limited to, reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, performing accounting assessments, preparing accurate journal entries, and documenting revenue conclusions
Respond timely and appropriately to business requests
Research, resolve and operationalize complex and non-routine revenue accounting transactions.
Partner to suggest potential solutions to align accounting outcomes with business objectives prior to finalization of contracts with customers or launch of new product initiatives.
Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues and improve accounting processes/efficiencies
Participate in and/or lead projects and initiatives with cross functional impacts
Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
Assist with external audits and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Your Experience
Minimum of 6+ years of related work experience with 3+ years of Technical Revenue specific experience
Prior Public Accounting experience with regards to Revenue (ASC 606) preferred
CPA or equivalent a plus
SAP, SFDC, Big Query and accounting operations experience a plus
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Mail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Experienced in writing complex technical revenue accounting position papers
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to details
Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizations
Education
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent training, education, and experience in Finance, Accounting or similar field or equivalent military experience required
