I am partnering with a reputed ship management company to recruit an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee their Chemical Tanker Fleet.

This is a shore-based position offering the opportunity to work with a highly reputable operator, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of assigned vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technical management of assigned chemical tankers, ensuring operational reliability and compliance with statutory, class, and company requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities.
• Prepare and manage vessel budgets, monitor expenditure, and implement cost-control measures without compromising safety or quality.
• Conduct vessel visits, inspections, and audits, ensuring timely follow-up on findings and corrective actions.
• Liaise closely with Masters and Chief Engineers to provide technical guidance and support.
• Ensure all vessels comply with environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
• Review requisitions, evaluate supplier quotes, and approve orders for spare parts and consumables.

Requirements

• Sailed up to Chief Engineer onboard.
• Minimum 2 years of shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent.
• Proven experience managing Chemical Tanker vessels (Type 2 & 3).
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety management systems, and best practices in tanker operations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
