Overview
Technician, Operations & Maintenance, Solar, EaaS assists the Engineer in manning the solar photovoltaic (PV) system operation and maintenance.
The role monitors system performance and CCTV operations from the Operations Centre, reports defects and alarms, maintains equipment logs and maintenance schedules, carries out routine tests and inspections, performs basic troubleshooting, supervises externally sourced maintenance, and ensures safety policies and procedures are followed.
Travel to sites may be required to provide technical support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Engineer in manning the solar photovoltaic (PV) system operation and maintenance
- Monitor and analyse system performance and CCTV operations from the Operations Centre
- Report and record defects and alarms during operations
- Maintain and update equipment logs, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacements
- Carry out routine tests and inspections on the solar systems
- Perform basic troubleshooting on system faults and monitoring equipment
- Supervise externally sourced maintenance
- Supervise maintenance works and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Ability to travel to sites to provide technical support to clients
- Other duties as reasonably requested by the supervisor
Job Requirements
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with solar systems or energy storage systems
- Familiar with solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and system installations
- Must be able to work at heights, including climbing ladders and accessing rooftops
- Electrical certifications will be an added advantage
