SP Group seeks a self-motivated technician to maintain and operate gas transmission pipelines and associated facilities, ensuring safety and reliability.
Your role
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out operation, inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair, and improvement works on Gas Transmission Pipeline and associated facilities such as metering, pressure regulators, gas filters, gas leak detectors, offtake and line valve stations, including cathodic protection system, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
- Supervise contractor works to ensure operation and safety requirements are strictly adhered to.
- Assess site-specific risks and conduct daily toolbox meetings to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Conduct briefing of Safe Work Procedures for pipe laying, testing, and commissioning of gas distribution works.
- Perform rostered standby duties and respond to network incidents.
About you
What you'll need:
- NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines.
- Good grasp of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently and in a team within a challenging environment.
- Possess a valid driving license; having own transport is advantageous.
