Job description

About the role
We are seeking a
Temporary Executive (Communications)
to join the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) in the West Region on a 6-month contract.

The individual will be supporting the team mainly in the areas of content creation, collaterals and branding.


What you'll be doing
Content Creation
To assist in graphic design (e.g., social media posts, eDMs, etc.) and video editing (e.g., TikTok/Reels, long-form video content, etc.) to ensure that NIEC's messages are communicated effectively to audiences on all platforms.


Branding and Collaterals
To handle copywriting, designing, and production of both printed and digital collaterals.


Media/Trends Monitoring
To collate news briefs, comprising local and international news related to NIEC and the Early Childhood sector, to be sent to all staff.

The incumbent may also be assisting in research work on brand audits, consumer preference surveys and competitor reviews.


Project & Events Management
To support projects and outreach events which include logistics arrangements, preparation of event materials, liaison work and participation on the actual day of the event (physical/virtual).


Website Management
To assist in the copywriting of content to promote courses or events.


What we're looking for
Diploma in Communications or Marketing, with at least 1 year experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Hands-on knowledge of Graphic Design Software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva
Hands-on knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, WeChat, XiaoHongShu)
Possess design and video production skills
Good command of English with the ability to write well
Curious, adaptable, intuitive and a self-starter
Creative, proactive, driven and positive
Collaborative team player
Good organisational skills and time management
Self-motivated, friendly and outgoing personality
Meticulous
Proficiency in an additional language is advantageous, particularly for translation tasks
