Overview
A leading global technology company is seeking the Trade Compliance Import Analyst to join its APAC Trade Compliance team based in Singapore.
This role is ideal for professionals with 3–5 years of experience in trade operations and customs compliance, looking to contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment.
You will be responsible for managing the daily clearance of cross-border shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both internal teams and external customs brokers.
The role involves cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and implement sustainable compliance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily import clearance activities by coordinating with internal business units and customs brokers.
- Provide accurate compliance guidance on valuation, HS code classification, country of origin, and other regulatory data.
- Support trade compliance efforts by verifying import documentation and defining importer responsibilities.
- Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations and resolve customs entry discrepancies efficiently.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of customs compliance processes, metrics, and reporting across the APAC region.
Key Qualifications
- Strong understanding of customs programs including Rules of Origin, Classification, and Valuation.
- Experience with customs clearance requirements across APAC countries.
- Skilled in regulatory analysis, data interpretation , and process improvement .
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics operations is a plus.
- Proficient in tools such as Excel, Word, Filemaker Pro, SAP, and EDI systems .
- Experience with trade compliance automation projects and statistical analysis is advantageous.
