Train Service Controller (Communications), NSEWL
Job Purpose
Responsible for developing communication plans and managing public communication via audio and visual means.
Monitor social media for trends and potential issues.
Provide situation updates and alternatives to improve the travel experience during train service delays.
Liaise with external agencies and generate fault requests to relevant departments.
Must be able to perform rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities
- Develop communication plans and communicate to the public via audio and visual means.
- Monitor social media and identify trends and potential issues.
- Provide situation updates and alternatives to enhance commuters’ travel experience, particularly during a train service delay.
- Liaise with external agencies.
- Generate fault requests to the relevant departments.
- Able to perform rotating shifts, including duties on weekends and on public holidays.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Diploma in any discipline.
Skills
- Ability to make public train announcements effectively in both English and Mandarin.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and in a diverse team environment.
- Highly motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Strategic thinking abilities.
