Description
The Trainee Educator is responsive to the needs of young children and engages in continuous learning and reflective practice.
Untrained candidates who are passionate and inspired to become an Early Childhood Educators can apply.
The right candidate will be offered opportunities for sponsorship of higher ECCE courses.
Responsibilities
- The Teaching Aide/Allied infant educarer is responsive to the needs of young children.
He/she creates a secure environment for young children through nurturing respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships with them.
- The Teaching Aide/Allied infant educarer is intentional in building trusting and respectful partnerships with parents and families.
- He/she actively engages in centre initiatives and supports its collaborative efforts with the community.
- He/she also works closely with colleagues and contributes to a culture of collaboration and collegiality.
- As an early childhood educarer, the Teaching Aide/Allied infant educarer engages in continuous learning and reflective practice.
Requirements
- At least Secondary 2 education or 8 years of formal education and attained an average level of 4 under the Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Employability Skills (ES) WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) series
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with sound working knowledge of MS Office
- Passionate to work with children and make a difference to children's learning
