The Trainee Teacher scheme is a place-and-train programme designed to immerse you in the child care environment.

Through a combination of classroom training and workplace attachment, you will be provided real time feedback and peer support for your optimal learning.

As a Trainee Teacher (English), you will be focusing on looking after children from 18 months to 6 years old by creating a safe and conducive learning environment for children.

You will be sponsored to pursue a 13-month Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching (Conversion) course.

Upon graduation, you will be awarded the DECEE-T certificate and deployed as an English Childcare Teacher teaching children aged 18 months to 6 years old.

A 1-year bond is applicable upon course completion.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma from local polytechnic in any discipline.

    Degree holders are welcome to apply.

  • Enjoys working with young children from 18 months to 6 years old
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience in taking care or babysitting children will be advantageous
  • Candidates without early childhood experience or formal early childhood qualifications are welcome to apply.
