UI/UX Designer (GC/TK)

Job description

We are seeking an experienced User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Designer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in human-centered design, and professional user experience/product design experience.

The ideal candidate is expected to gather user requirements, document and translate business needs to design.

As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for both individual contributions and collaborative teamwork to deliver high-quality software UI and UX designs.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed product specifications, user stories, and functional requirements
• Analyze user feedback and product metrics to continuously optimize and improve products
• Conceptualize and design digital products by employing a right mix of human-centred design processes and tools (e.g. mental models, user journeys, site maps, wire frames, task flows, user interface specifications, prototypes, and mockups) to foster intuitive user experiences across the product.
  
  
• Establish product design and framework to ensure consistency across all user interfaces.
  
  
• Employ suitable color schemes and layouts for each graphic.
  
  
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to gather and assess user requirements.
  
  
• Strategically devise new features and functionalities based on user stories and behaviors.
  
  
• Conduct thorough testing of graphics across diverse media and platforms.
  
  
• Identify and troubleshoot UX issues, implementing layout adjustments based on user feedback, including responsiveness.
  
  
• Embrace rapid design and testing methodologies while efficiently iterating designs and solutions.
  
  
• Incorporate client feedback to refine designs as necessary.
  
  
• Clearly communicate research findings and design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
  
  
• Ensure that the final graphics and layouts are visually appealing.
  
  
• Balance user needs with technical constraints to help realize the team’s ideas, translating these ideas into extraordinary visuals.
  
  
• Join projects at varying stages of production, ranging from prototyping to providing scalable production resources, to polishing and optimizing UI assets for shipping, working closely with engineering to ensure a high-quality product.
  
  
• Facilitate brainstorms and working sessions with cross-disciplinary teams to turn ideas into a vision and design strategy.
  
  
• Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Art/Design, or equivalent professional experience.
  
  
• Minimum of 3 years in human-centered design, and professional user experience/product design experience.
  
  
• Experience in business analysis is a plus.
  
  
• Familiarity with healthcare industry is a plus.
  
  
• Strong UI and UX design ability.
  
  
• Profound understanding of graphics and web design trends.
  
  
• Prior experience in product development is preferred.
  
  
• Eagerness to enhance expertise in UX and UI Design.
  
  
• Impressive portfolio showcasing illustrations or other graphics.
  
  
• Keen attention to aesthetics and details.
  
  
• Fluent English communication capability is a plus.
  
  
• Regional design project experience is a plus.
  
  
• Experience on branding design is a plus.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• Ability to thrive in a highly agile and iterative environment and translate business concepts into journeys, screen flows, and interactions.
  
  
• Consultative mindset and good understanding of Asian markets/industries/users behaviours and trends.
  
  
• Practical experience in agile delivery, including running cross-functional squads, overseeing the creation of new design directions, and/or development and implementation of digital products and services.
  
  
• Demonstrate a track record of delivering requirements in a dynamic environment.
  
  
• Proficient in various interactive and visual design software tools.
  
  
• Proficiency in typography, sketching, composition, layout, color, iconography, illustration, and the presentation of information.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid design philosophy, deep understanding, and practical experience in user experience design and related fields.
  
  
• Strong ability to grasp product vision, and product goals and communicate them clearly and regularly to the team.
  
  
• Ability to defend a design proposal using data.
