You'll be at the heart of creating digital experiences that truly serve users and advance the public good.

You'll combine rigorous research with thoughtful design to build products that are intuitive and meaningful.

This is fixed term contract role.

The engagement is 36 months

What will you do?

• Lead comprehensive user research initiatives including qualitative and quantitative studies, usability testing, A/B testing, and stakeholder interviews to deeply understand user needs and behaviours
• Design and prototype intuitive user experiences through wireframes, mockups, and interactive flows that balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints
• Conduct iterative user testing sessions, translating insights into actionable design improvements that simplify complex systems and enhance usability
• Create clear workflow maps and user journey documentation that facilitate productive discussions during product conceptualisation and development
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers throughout the design process, from initial concepts through final implementation
• Develop deep empathy for users through direct engagement and research, advocating for user-centred solutions in all design decisions

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• We seek a designer who combines strong craft skills with genuine curiosity about users and a commitment to creating positive impact through thoughtful design.
  
  
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in interaction and visual design for digital products
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design process and outcomes across various project types
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and design systems
• Proven track record of conducting user research and translating insights into design decisions
• Data-informed design mentality that balances quantitative metrics with qualitative user feedback
• Experience designing responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across devices and platforms
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present design rationale to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a team environment
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with willingness to tackle complex problems
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Keen interest in generative AI and the online trust and safety space would be an added bonus
