The Role
To provide administrative and operational support to underwriters, ensuring accurate and timely processing of underwriting tasks including but not limited to document handling and data entry.
Key Responsibilities
Underwriting Support Duties (70%)
Manage renewal cases with premiums below a certain threshold to be determined by the Underwriting Manager.Prepare and follow up on renewal notices to ensure timely responses from brokers and clients.Draft quotation letters and related documentation in accordance with underwriting instructions.Verify and check binding slips and ensure subjectivities satisfied.Support the marketing and distribution effortsAssist underwriters in populating relevant data into Tracker or spreadsheets to support risk evaluation and documentation.Support underwriters with QPS (Quote Processing System) tasks.Enter submission data and maintain underwriting fields in relevant systems.Ensure accuracy and completeness of information submitted for underwriting.gatekeeper for data quality, entries and checksCoordinate with the India team on post-binding processing tasks, ensuring smooth handover and clarity of responsibilities Liaise with internal teams to resolve basic queries related to submissions.Administrative Duties (30%)
Register and log submissions accurately in internal systems to maintain data integrity.Sign documents on behalf of the Underwriting Manager, as authorised and instructed.Organize and maintain underwriting records, including emails, documents, and account status tracking The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Certificate in administration or related business study highly regardedExperience as a Business Support Officer is highly valued for this role, as it provides the foundational skills necessary for success in underwriting and data coordination functions.Basic understanding of Underwriting information, workflow , terms and conditions, broker communicationStrong attention to detail and data accuracy.Good organisational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Desired:
