Responsibilities:
ISO & Management Systems:
- Maintain and enhance Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001,
- Lead internal audits and coordinate with external certification bodies.
- Maintain bizSAFE certification and ensure timely renewal.
Quality & Compliance:
- Translate company goals into departmental QEHS targets; facilitate management reviews and report on KPIs, non-conformities, and improvement actions.
- Organize QHES committee meetings and ensure effective communication of updates and initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory changes (e.g., WSH), ensure legal compliance, and lead external audits.
Site Safety:
- Conduct risk assessments, enforce site-specific safety rules, and ensure OSH compliance.
- Perform inspections, investigate incidents/near-misses, and maintain all safety documentation.
Training & Awareness:
- Deliver QEHS inductions and refreshers; maintain training matrix and competency records.
- Disseminate relevant updates from HQ and authorities across the company.
Regional Oversight & Programs:
- Support certification mapping, audit tracking, and gap closure across regional entities.
- Coach entities with low QEHS maturity; harmonize procedures and share best practices.
- Drive corporate QEHS standards, campaigns, and culture across the region.
Reporting & Data Management:
- Consolidate safety, environmental, and quality KPIs; ensure accurate and auditable data.
General Support:
- Assist superiors in promoting QEHS values and carrying out initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Quality/Industrial Management, or related field.
- 8–10 years of QEHS management experience in power plants, industrial facilities, or oil & gas sectors.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of QEHS standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), bizSAFE certification, and external audits (regional level).
- Experience with sustainability reporting (e.g., energy, waste, water, emissions).
- Familiar with power plant operations, construction processes, and equipment.
- Skilled in risk assessments, root cause analysis, and incident management.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to lead teams and ensure compliance across departments and stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to influence, train, and support cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining clear documentation.
Cultural & Regional Agility:
- Regional exposure and willingness to travel across APAC.
- Flexible, team-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Certifications:
- Internal Auditor Certification.
- Project Management training or certification preferred.
