GovTech is the lead agency driving Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives and public sector digital transformation.[What you will be working on]
We're seeking a talented UX Designer to join our team working on the Office of Public Guardian Online (OPGO), a citizen-facing digital service that helps Singaporeans plan for their future care through Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) arrangements and supervises deputies in their caregiving duties.
What You'll Do
Drive end-to-end user research and design for OPGO's digital services, focusing on improving user satisfaction and adoption rates
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping to deeply understand the needs of donors, donees, deputies, and agency officers
Design intuitive interfaces and user flows for complex legal processes, including LPA applications and deputy reporting
Improve information architecture and content findability across OPGO's digital touchpoints
Create high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes using Figma to effectively communicate design solutions
Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency across the platform
Work closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation of design solutions
Support the digitisation of in-person processes while maintaining security and trust
[What we are looking for]
Essential Experience:
Proven track record in user research, including interviewing, usability testing, and thematic analysis
Strong proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping
Experience in information architecture and content strategy
Ability to translate complex processes into simple, user-friendly digital experiences
Experience in creating and maintaining design systems
Key Attributes:
Self-motivated and resourcefully working as the primary designer, together with a designer-in-training
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple stakeholder needs
Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret user satisfaction metrics and research data
Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
