Vice President, Application Manager (Cross-border payments)
Join MUFG to lead the cross‐border payments team within the Asian Systems Office.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, availability and continuous improvement of the system that processes all international and domestic SWIFT based RTGS payments in the region.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with business stakeholders to standardize requirements and minimize customisations.
Leverage deep knowledge of the cross‐border payments domain to design end‐to‐end payment solutions.
Rationalise business requirements to avoid unnecessary customisations.
Control risks and scope creep related to requirements.
Lead incident response, ensuring payments are restored and processed within SLA commitments.
Oversee defect and change request backlog, prioritise and coordinate fixes with business units.
Maintain application availability for seamless payment processing.
Collaborate with technology and infrastructure teams to ensure all interfaces with internal and external systems function without disruption.
Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge bases and documentation on application features and processes.
Job Requirements
Minimum 12 years of technology experience focusing on cross‐border payment system implementation.
Experience integrating payment systems with SWIFT, core banking, FX, AML and other processing channels.
Strong understanding of ISO20022 and SWIFT messages.
Knowledge of APAC regulatory payments environment.
Experience with Global PayPlus product from FINASTRA is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in planning, organisation and time management.
Self‐motivated, independent and a good team player.
Experience with SDLC and Agile methodology.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
