Overview
Vice President, Business Development for B2B Transportation Asia Pacific will be responsible for developing and executing on Transportation space growth opportunities (fleet, freight & logistics, and supply chain management) across the Oceania and Asian market landscapes.
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of the fleet marketspace or deeply understand global supply chain payments.
The VP will develop business plans, opportunity pipelines, and be responsible for selling Mastercard B2B Transportation solutions into the Asia Pacific market and developing and strengthening relationships with major Asia Pacific transportation ecosystem.
- Influences the decision-making process to produce better outcomes for both existing and new sales relationships
- Establishes the right measurement frameworks, pipeline reports, KPIs and analysis to identify and measure B2B Transportation segment growth across the market
- Works well within a cross-functional team to maximize their time on intended work (i.e. Sales and Delivery with Clients; new opportunity identification)
- Leads the execution of strategic client projects -- building the cross-functional relationships (finance, legal, franchise, etc.) needed to progress volume growth initiatives
- Drives the development of overall Asia Pacific regional B2B Transportation analytics, with a focus on ensuring all annual planning and business case financial targets are met

- Strong business development skillset with deep knowledge of the Australian/NZ and/or Pan-Asian Fleet and Transportation marketplaces
- Likable cross-functional influencer who works well in a highly matrixed organization
- Willing to roll up your sleeves to achieve individual and team goals
- Excellent business and technical problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of fleet specifications, POS development frameworks and commercial card acceptance processes
- Strong presentation and public speaking ability, with an ability to connect to prospective client audiences
- Generalist mentality with a well-rounded skill set and ability to easily move between business, financial management, and technical teams
- Ability to quickly intuit the validity of business cases, qualify opportunities, and the willingness to sign up for meaningful growth initiatives
- Able to balance multiple projects and differing business priorities; flexible to work with global offices across several time zones
