Responsibilities And Activities
- Support model maintenance : Liaise with Business Analyst to receive and understand business feedback on model performance and incorporate feedback into models; re-train and recalibrate existing FCC analytical models to prevent model drift periodically or as needed.
- New model development : Work closely with model end-users and other key stakeholders (e.g., Head of FCC Analytics, Business Analyst, Data and Ops Engineer, GC) to identify additional areas which require analytics support or future model build and include those models in development pipeline; develop model narratives (purpose, logic, parameters, data requirements, output surfacing/structuring) in collaboration with the business and other stakeholders; perform end-to-end FCC model development (data wrangling, EDA, feature selection, model training/testing); build a range of models (rule-based, supervised/unsupervised) on structured, semi-structured and/unstructured data as needed.
- Special projects : Support high-priority projects, including building FCC analytical capabilities in response to external regulatory requests or internal needs; stay abreast of latest developments in data science and recommend best practices within the bank for FCC/AML; communicate with Business Analyst to understand new regulatory requirements and ensure updates are reflected in models.
- Model governance : Support the Head of FCC analytics in enhancing model governance policies and processes, participate in model testing and assess models for biases and ethics compliance.
Skills / Qualifications
- 8 – 12 years of experience in technology; preferably 2 - 4 years in data science / data analytics
- At least 2 - 4 years of experience with advanced analytical models/tools (e.g., machine learning)
- Experience on large-scale analytics projects
- Experience in or familiarity with analytics related to AML/FCC/compliance risks
- Ability to clearly communicate technical results to different audiences
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, etc.
Technical Skills
- Python for data science with data wrangling and ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow, Sklearn)
- Experience with structured and unstructured data and distributed databases
- Familiar with natural language processing and network link analysis
- Familiar with best practice development standards
