Job Purpose
Lead initiatives that enhance the organisation’s operational resilience, focusing on third‑party business continuity, cybersecurity preparedness, and crisis readiness across the region.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and execute Business Continuity Management (BCM) initiatives to improve operational resilience, emphasising third‑party continuity and cyber‑security preparedness.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver Resolution Planning requirements and align with regulatory expectations and internal governance frameworks.
- Support Group BCM deliverables, validating readiness of business and support units through structured assessments and interventions.
- Provide timely support to the Crisis Management Committee during incidents, including escalation and coordination of response efforts.
- Drive and support group‑level BCP exercises, readiness assessments, and improvement plans.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead management of third‑party business resilience, reviewing and updating the framework to align with vendor disruptions.
- Collaborate with service delivery managers, contract owners and continuity personnel to validate and enhance BCP plans, addressing extended disruptions of critical third‑party services.
- Update and align documentation to meet Resolution Planning requirements, working with relevant units.
- Embed resilience into cyber risk management and incident response planning with Information Security teams.
- Co‑ordinate BCM efforts at group level, developing effective group BCP recovery and response strategies, including third‑party business resilience.
- Support the bank’s BCM programme to conduct organisation‑wide BCP exercises, validate the effectiveness of BU/SU BCP, monitor and track improvement plans.
- Develop and execute training and awareness activities to raise BCM competency among DBS Group staff, especially service delivery managers and contract owners.
- Maintain operational readiness to support the Crisis Management Committee and conduct regular simulation exercises.
- Engage senior leadership to champion BCM awareness, cultivating a resilient culture across all levels of the organisation and continuously enhancing BCM processes, policies and governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience managing third‑party business resilience or operational resilience risk in a banking/insurance sector (bonus).
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence senior management.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Technical Experience
- Working knowledge of operational resilience processes, systems and resources.
- Strong foundation and knowledge of operational resilience‑related regulations such as DORA, FSC/PRA, MAS and other regulators where DBS operates.
