Overview

The main responsibility of the Warehouse Manager is to proactively manage, lead and develop the operations according to the common Scania values, principles, processes, guidelines and standards through a strong customer- and business focus.

This entails managing daily operations, maximizing customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvements and developing motivated teams in order to achieve financial and business performance targets, contributing to Scania’s profitability.

As Warehouse Manager, you will work closely with different departments from Scania Parts Center (SPC-Belgium) and suppliers to optimize profitability for the business.

You should also engage the team to achieve goals and KPI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Supply Chain and Logistics
    • Develop, implement and follow up the parts strategy plan for the business unit
    • Persistently monitor and follow-up commercial and process KPI’s
    • Keep track of and carry out both supplier and competitor analysis
    • Keep track of and actively work with both ongoing and upcoming marketing and technical campaigns
    • Continually strive to identify opportunities and ways of increasing sales
    • Be aware of the competition
  • Lead and Manage Operations
    • Ensure there is a clear structure to define, implement and follow up activities decided in the Business Plan
    • Ensure that the department works together with other departments to achieve common business objectives
    • Ensure that there is an organization and necessary resources, competence and facilities to fulfill and uphold set strategies and targets
    • Establish and uphold a meeting structure where operations are managed and information is exchanged
    • Ensure daily steering procedures are applied
  • Lead the Team
    • Lead, motivate and manage the team to deliver high-quality results and timely service
    • Coach individuals in the team on a regular basis, tailored to the individual need and focused on improving competence used in the daily work
    • Set KPIs and individual targets for the team and follow them up on a regular basis
    • Conduct and act upon Performance & Development Talks, competence and performance management and employee satisfaction surveys
    • Lead and oversee the development of the personnel requirement within the department, working in line with People & Culture processes
  • Health & Safety Development
    • Ensure and support implementation of safety and health policies, procedures and regulations in daily work
    • Create and safeguard a healthy, safe and sustainable work environment for all employees supporting business objectives
    • Support the work with continuous improvements regarding safety and health
  • Managing improvement work according to the Scania Way
    • Set agenda for standardized work methods and improvement activities and manage resources within the department
    • Follow up on Improvement activities and goals in connection to the business objectives
    • Ensure transfer of best practice between teams within the same department
    • Understand the difference between and work with both market plan activities (business improvements) and process improvements (continuous improvements)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level 6
