Responsibilities
a) Assist the Workshop Manager in the overall operations and control of the workshop for maintenance and recovery inclusive of Heavy Machineries and Vehicles under the Company's charge;
b) Supervise and oversee the productivity and safety of the workshop to ensure full utilization of the provided resources and facilities;
c) Assist in the implementation of programs of existing operations to improve cost effectiveness, productivity, efficiency, security, safety and recovery standards;
d) Liaison with vendors for repairs and parts;
e) Forecast and plan jobs with the required parts and allocation of manpower to achieve the shortest downtime;
f) Communicate and coordinate with Mechanics on affected asset spares requisition for repair and maintenance;
g) Maintain and account for inventory;
h) Check, clarify and ensure correctness in the documentations submitted;
i) Facilitate paperwork as per stated processes to ensure submissions;
j) Supervision of the staff, ensure and maintain worker's adherence to safety requirements during work;
k) Highlight, solve or escalate operational issues that might impede operations including manpower planning;
l) Under the WSH Act, employees have a duty to keep their workplace and colleagues safe:
· Cooperate with employers and follow safety and health procedure;
· Report unsafe acts and incidents;
· Do not tamper with safety devices or perform willful or reckless act; and
m) Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit.
Requirement
· Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field
· Prior experience of minimum 2 years preferred in similar industry or vehicle workshop or heavy machinery environment.
· Excellent organizational and planning skills.
· Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Willingness to travel to construction sites when required.
· Possess Class 3 driving license.
