[What the role is]
We are seeking an IT Business Analyst associate to provide comprehensive production support and vendor management for WSG-owned and subscribed systems.[What you will be working on]
The trainee will support the team in the following :
Production Support for WSG owned and subscribed systems
Oversee IT vendor performance management and contract deliverables while monitoring budget utilisation and expenditure tracking
Monitor and resolve system issues, defects, and incidents according to agreed service levels to maintain application stability
Support application lifecycle management and develop improved incident handling procedures to enhance service delivery
Ensure digital solutions comply with government IT policies, security frameworks, and architectural standards
Maintain application security through patch management, user access reviews, and implementation of security controls
Coordinate IT security assessments, audits, and remediation activities with relevant stakeholders
Provide escalation support for complex IT issues and maintain operational metrics and performance reports
Manage system changes and ensure adherence to project management standards and operational procedures
Handle administrative support for IT operations including documentation, reporting, and meeting coordination
[What we are looking for]
Knowledge/Skills
Foundational understanding of IT systems, business processes, and data analysis gained through academic study or internships
Knowledge of project management principles, with willingness to learn government-specific frameworks
General understanding of public sector operations and compliance requirements, with particular value placed on candidates who have working experience in government agencies (Ministry or Statutory Board)
Proficiency in creating reports, presentations, and maintaining records using standard office applications
Abilities/Aptitudes
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, with ability to build productive working relationships and manage partnerships
Self-motivated with a can-do spirit, able to work autonomously whilst contributing effectively as part of a team environment
Curious mindset that is open to exploring different ideas and solutions, combined with tenacious approach to identifying, analysing, and resolving challenges in a timely manner
Highly adaptable to ambiguous situations and changing requirements, with proactive approach to addressing new challenges and managing project deliverables confidently
