About the role

WE are seeking an experienced Automation/Marine Electrical Engineer to join our team.

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes to enhance the efficiency and productivity of our marine operations.

  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Position: Automation/Marine Electrical Engineer
  • Location: West (Nearest MRT: Clementi/Bukit Batok)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (Flexible to work on short notice, including night time, weekends and public holidays)

What you'll be doing

Priority for Professional skills, please self-recommend for higher commission payout: ME - Electronic Fuel Injection System Control, Bridge Navigation Equipment ( Radar, electric compass, VDR and GMDSS), Alfa Oil Separator Control System, Fire Alarm Control System, Tanker level control system TT

  1. Design, specify, and produce electrical systems for vessels and refits (power generation, distribution, switchboards, switchgear, motor control, lighting)
  2. Develop single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable routing, load flow and fault current analysis
  3. Perform electrical power system studies, short circuit analysis, protection coordination
  4. Integrate ship systems: propulsion (if electrical / hybrid), battery / energy storage, AC / DC distribution, shore power connection
  5. Design or review control systems, PLC / automation / SCADA integration with electrical systems
  6. Prepare technical specifications, equipment tenders, vendor drawings, interface documents
  7. Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting onboard or in yard
  8. Provide support during sea trials, tests, handover, and warranty period
  9. Perform diagnostics, maintenance, upgrades, retrofits, component replacement onboard
  10. Interface with mechanical, piping, HVAC, instrumentation disciplines, classification societies, regulatory bodies
  11. Ensure compliance with marine electrical standards, safety codes, and classification requirements
  12. Prepare documentation: test procedures, reports, change requests, as-built drawings

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Min 2 Years working experience in marine / shipboard / offshore electrical design, installation, or maintenance
  2. Hands-on experience with shipboard electrical systems, switchgear, power distribution, propulsion integration
  3. Proficient in programming and configuring PLC, SCADA, and other industrial automation systems
  4. Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting control systems
  5. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills (Prefferd with Chinese Writing/reading)
  6. Good communication, documentation, and coordination skills
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  8. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
