Job description

Working Hours: 9 am to 6 pm (Monday to Friday)

Industry: Freight Forwarding / Logistics

Job Scope:

You will be responsible for providing shipping solutions to customers and business partners, helping them import or export goods to and from Singapore.

Job Descriptions:

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Be the main contact point for customer inquiries, bookings, and shipment tracking.

  • Build good relationships with clients by providing regular and clear updates.

Shipment Coordination

  • Work closely with transporters, permit declaring agents, and carriers to ensure smooth shipment pickup, transit, and delivery.

  • Monitor shipments and provide real-time status updates to customers.

Complaint Management

  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and check shipping documents to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.

Billing & Invoicing

  • Process and follow up on invoices accurately and on time.

  • Coordinate with the finance team to resolve any billing issues.

Sales Support

  • Assist sales team with rate quotations, follow-ups, and post-booking coordination.

Recordkeeping & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of customers and shipments for operations and audits.

Process Improvements

  • Suggest improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 'O' Level education.

  • Preferably with some working experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry.

  • Positive working attitude and good communication skills.

  • Able to handle customer disputes professionally and effectively.

  • Knowledge of sea and air freight procedures is required.

  • Basic understanding of dangerous goods handling and compliance.

  • Knowledge of costing/pricing is an added advantage.

  • A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin will be an advantage (to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and partners).

  • Able to start work on short notice is a plus.
